In 2009 the theme  on the festival ground was “Football in a 1000 ways”. This meant that all the activities on the festival ground had something to do with football - in other words: Football in a 1000 ways. However, the theme was not imited to the festival ground.

Football Festival® Denmark takes over Aarhus
Football Festival® Denmark was appointed Aarhus City Event 2009. We therefore moved all our activities into the centre of Aarhus, where Rådhuspladsen(Town Hall Square) was our playground for lots of different football activities. That meant that you could experience the concept of this year’s tournament – “Football in a 1000  ways” – trough a range of different activities along with the local citizens, the other football teams and tourists. 

The activities on Rådhuspladsen were The World Championships in Street Soccer, beach football tournament, street soccer show with FC Panna, foot tennis, soccercage, which is 1-on-1 football on a small closed pitch, various trick competitions, table football tournament and on Saturday the best local teams will competed in The Aarhus Beach Football Championships. You could experience “Football in a 1000 ways” on Rådhuspladsen from Tuesday the 21st – Saturday the 25th of July. See what we have planned in the following links:

If you need to relax in between matches you can use one of our computers to keep in touch with friends and family back home. You can also challenge your friends in the virtual world on one of our gaming consoles. For the 2009 tournament we will aim to have the best possible football games for you and your friends.
